Shipping

The primary means RCP uses for shipping pythons is www.ShipYourReptiles.com. This website enables all shippers to schedule shipments through Fedex. All shipments are Lacey Act compliant. All care is taken to ensure your animal is shipped safely. Heat packs are used when needed, and shipping is available all year, unless the SYR web page discourages shipping due to weather or other expected delays. Below are details on the 2 ways to receive your pythons, insured, and uninsured.
Please note that REDLINE SHIPPING will not be used for the following reason-
"For a DOA claim to be covered, the package must also be delivered late". RLS
Ship Your Reptiles does not place this stipulation on insured shipments. You are better protected with Ship Your Reptiles.
Insured (Preferred Method)
Insured shipping requies me to ship to your nearest FedEx hub. Insured door to door shipping is not an option. This method of shipping requires me to ship only on Tuesday's and Wednesday's and deliveries the following day to your nearest FedEx hub. You'll then need to drive to that FedEx hub to obtain your pythons. To arrange this shipping, I will only need your zip code. The shipping website will give me a list of approved FedEx hubs, and I will forward that list to you for you to choose from. Insured shipping is included in the $75 shipping fee, so there is no extra cost for insurance.
Uninsured Door to Door (Least Preferred)
Shipping door to door is always an option. However, no insurance is available with door to door service. To receive pythons door to door, buyers must agree to accept responsibility for this method and waive insurance. One benefit to this service is that more days are available for shipping and receiving, so without insurance, pythons can be shipped Monday through Thursday with next day delivery. All Lacey Acy requirements and shipping guidelines will still be followed with uninsured shipments to help your pythons arrive safely.
Insurance Claims
The need to file a claim is extremely rare, but on occassion, FedEx does mishandle these shipments, and sometimes, unfortunately, a python could be dead on arrival. In the event of this happening, I will need your help to file a claim. Follow these steps to receive reimbursement for DOA's.
1. Upon receipt of a DOA, contact me immediately. You file your claim with me. I will file my claim with SHIP YOUR REPTILES. This is because you are my customer, and I am their customer. Unfortunately, they typically do not deal with the buyers because I am the one who paid them for the shipping, so please bring your claims directly to me by texting me and notifying me as soon as you receive your pythons.
2. Photograph everything. I will need your pictures sent to me, to include pictures of the dead python belly up, and right side up, basically from all angles. I will also need pictures of the shipping label, and pictures of the box from all sides, including the top and bottom, and pictures of the packing materials and snake bag. Also, please include a picture of the heat pack if included.
3. Once I receive confirmation from Ship Your Reptiles that the claim is processed and payment is pending, I will issue your refund. This sometimes only takes a few minutes, but sometimes can take a few days. The refund will be for the cost of the animal plus shipping, so your refund will cover your expenses.
